As the end of the year is quickly upon us, I can't believe I've been engaged for six months already! I've spent my evening packing for our [recently] traditional Canada NYE trip and remember knowing last year, it would be my last countdown "single". Yet, as we were surrounded by family and friends for the holidays this year, and we retold the stories that highlighted the last 12 months, I was overwhelmed by how little I actually remembered of the details that meant the most. I have stacks of notebooks with the promises of writing down the things I'm treasuring in the moment, and dozens of deleted blogs with my name attached to them, but at this point: it's no long in my "someday" list to keep up. Many things in your life are one time occurrences, and I'm coming head to head with many of them... I'm just not willing to lose the details as time passes by. So, with that being said: 2013 will be started right. I'll faithfully stay up with my struggles, joys, and once-in-a-lifetimes as I head into my last days as an undergrad and a single woman, closing one chapter and opening another.
Here's to a year that won't be forgotten, and hopefully many more to come.
